The artorale’s self-image

Based on the context of global responsibility and an awareness of the power of art, the artorale was formed with the aim of bringing art beyond traditional forms of presentation into the public sphere and open discourse:

2025 will be a year of defining strategy, and we cordially invite everyone who values the most important resource against brutalization and division to participate: education!

SCULPTURE TRAIL REMSCHEID/LENNEP

Following the examples of “Skulpturale” in Münster and “Waldfrieden” in Wuppertal, the artists' association artorale is planning an international sculpture trail in Remscheid-Lennep.

In the context of the historic old town and embedded in the romantic history of the Rhine (Annette von Droste Hülshoff, Arthur Schopenhauer, Stephan Andres), Spanish Prime Minister Felipe González summed it up at the opening of the Willy Brandt Forum: “Unkel, a global village.”

Who, if not us artists? Who, if not us who are interested in knowledge? Who, if not us, as a strong community?

We appeal to everyone we reach.

To broaden horizons impartially. To discuss objectively, comprehensively, and appreciatively. To give expression and voice to those ideas that counteract injustices of all kinds.

Defend the freedom of art, of all arts!
